THE MABRYS

We have known sweet Megan since before OAK was OAK. She was a part of the OAK family from day one, and we all felt like we were getting engaged again when Brent proposed. This dear couple has lots of love for each other and for the Lord, and their wedding demonstrated both.

Held at Megan's church, the ceremony backdrop was a 7' wooden cross, draped with handmade garland and flowers, that mimicked the handmade eucalyptus wreaths on the church doors. The couple said their vows while her grandfather officiated, and lots of tears were shed through the day!

After a beautiful heartfelt ceremony, a fun outdoor reception took place at the bride's grandparents' home. The spacious area allowed for plenty of tables and chairs, multiple wedding cakes, an adorable groom's cake and lights hanging from the trees.

We are so honored to have been a part of Megan and Brent's day, and now they will BOTH always be a part of the OAK family.

SISSON + GOSS

If you want to work with a couple of precious families, the Sisson and Goss families are your people. We were so honored to not only play a part in their wedding, but to also host it at Sandridge Barn Venue on a beautiful, almost spring like, January day (one time that Mississippi weather is an amazing thing).
Because you NEVER know about Mississippi weather, we planned the wedding inside the alley of the barn and draped the back doors with our fabric draping, some gorgeous, delicate wedding garland and a "floral chandelier" in the center. We used white hydrangeas and a variety of different blush color flowers to meet the brides' floral wishes and add some OAK touches throughout.
The bride's dad had compiled the musical selections for the day and used his "DJ" expertise to make sure everything was perfect. He also assisted the bride in the "lacing" of her wedding gown. The couple's daughter served as the most precious flower girl ever, and joined her mom and dad in celebrating during the ceremony and reception.
The bride sang to the groom as part of the ceremony, and, unbeknownst to EVERYONE, the groom had also prepared a song to sing to Lindsey. This was a wedding full of love, patience and family. They were all joyful, thankful and exhibited overflowing hearts. These were families that you don't forget and a wedding that set the bar high for 2016.
